Dear brothers and sisters,
As the Chairman of MyChild International, I write with a heavy heart. Day after day, we witness the tragedy unfolding in Gaza — a land where children who should be running and playing are now running for their lives.
A Reality That Cannot Be Hidden
The statistics we receive from humanitarian agencies are devastating. Thousands of Palestinian children have lost their lives. Many more are injured, have lost limbs, lost parents, and lost their homes. Schools have been destroyed. Hospitals are paralysed. Water and electricity systems lie in ruins.
Even more heartbreaking, many of those who are still alive now face starvation, lack of clean water, and the threat of disease. Babies are being delivered without anaesthesia. The sick are treated on floors. Mothers feed their children with whatever scraps remain.
Why This Demands Our Attention
As an organisation that holds firmly to the principle "Every Child is My Child", we believe that every child — regardless of race, religion or borders — deserves protection, food, education, and a peaceful future.
What is happening in Gaza is not merely a political issue. It is a test of our humanity as a species. When a child screams in pain, borders do not matter. When a mother loses her child, religion does not stand in the way of tears. We are all human.
What MyChild International Is Doing
Through our Palestine Aid Fund, contributions collected are channelled directly to field partners who provide:
- Food and clean water for affected families
- Emergency medical aid for the injured
- Temporary shelter for those who have lost their homes
- Psychological support for traumatised children
A Call to You
I call upon all Malaysians and the international community to stand with us:
- Donate — however small your contribution, it means everything to one family there
- Raise awareness — share these stories so the world does not forget
- Pray — for prayer is the most powerful weapon
- Advocate — use your voice to demand justice and a humanitarian ceasefire
